There are many different styles of furniture in the world today that have their influences from furniture made in different eras from countries all over the globe.
Here we take a look at the history and styles of French furniture which include the many different subtle styles from the countries various regions or provences, and some of the more grand design styles made famous by its aristocracy and kings. Their influence is still very much in evidence today with such styles as Shabby Chic, French provincial furniture and the famous Baroque furniture and Rococo furniture styles.
We also look at the influence that Italian furniture has had on today's designer furniture ranges with its bold and dynamic pieces. In particular we examine the Venetian style of Italian furniture which is a style that has made popular the grand mirrored furniture pieces of today.
