Our Stunning Range of Ottomans
The word “ottoman” has been in the English language since 1605; the original ottomans were actually used in Turkey as central furniture items that comprised of padded seats piled high with cushions that all the family could sit on. Once in Europe, this was evolved into a piece of fitted furniture that wrapped around 3 walls of the room it was built into. Eventually, of course, this turned into the smaller item we use today, often as a footrest as well as a storage item.
