George II architectural gesso mirror. A George II style giltwood and carved gesso mirror in the manner of the 1730s. The mirror plate sits within a moulded frame with outset corners carved with trailing leaves and with shells at the top corners, flanked by drapes and tassels. The scrolled cresting is centred by a cartouche above a shell and leaf carved frieze with a matching shell centring the apron.
