New Arrivals in Designer Lighting

Normally at this time of year we would be getting excited about all the Spring luxury furniture exhibitions with all their new arrivals and innovative designs. Who would have thought this time last year that luxury furniture’s most prestigious event – Milan’s Salone del Mobile – would be postponed again? So here we are, waiting to re-open the showroom and champing at the bit to get back to some sort of normality. Do not despair, however. Just because the fairs are cancelled, it doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. All our favourite designers are still working, being as creative as ever and we have a fabulous range of new designer lighting to share with you.

A Designer Twist on Traditional Lighting

We are seeing some lovely twists on traditional lighting designs. In chandeliers, designers are taking the classic Flemish shape but stretching or refining the form to bring it right up to date. They are experimenting with 21st century materials and striking metallic finishes. While gold is always a favourite in the designer lighting market, we are seeing a fabulous mix of polished, brushed and hammered finishes. Matt black and black nickel work beautifully in this year’s warm neutral colour schemes, along with some of the warmer metallics. And, of course, there is always glass.

Timeless Classics

There is a lot of talk about colour and pattern in lighting. Our customers, however, are tending towards more timeless, classic themes. In keeping with the Transition Style Trend, some are mixing traditional designer lighting with more contemporary and urban décor. Others are using contemporary lighting in a classic setting.

Size Matters in Designer Lighting

Whether you prefer a classic or contemporary style, lighting is getting larger and more striking. Bold, statement lighting creates its own focal point and may even form a magnificent centrepiece around which the rest of the room sits. Take a while to browse through some of our favourite new arrivals in designer lighting. Images often don’t show the scale of each piece so make sure you click through to find out more about each one.

Customised or Bespoke Designer Lighting

Remember, all these images are a starting point. Many pieces can be customised from a range of sizes and finishes. If you still can’t find exactly what you want, we can look into creating something bespoke. Something unique to you. Just give us a call or drop us a line. Almost anything is possible.
