We really loved all the room designs submitted by our team of luxury lifestyle bloggers. All our rooms were inspired by gin, with our fabulous modern gin trolley as their centrepiece. Many thanks to Wild Island Gin and Pickering’s Original 1947 Gin for the ginspiration, and Fever Tree for some truly tasteful tonic water.
Quirky, Contemporary, Tranquil, Indulgent
We have been imagining ourselves, cocktail in hand, surrounded by the utmost luxury in a series of wonderful rooms. We had the cool, contemporary and uncluttered gentleman’s cave from Street Gentry; bold, beautiful botanical inspiration from Fresh Design Blog, and a haven of tranquility, globes and travel books in The Ana Mum Diary’s reading room. Tidy Life gave us a deliciously quirky luxury living room, complete with gold-tipped antlers, while NYLon Living treated us to a day in an indulgent, Art Deco boudoir.
And the winner is…
However, we could only choose one winner and our team’s unanimous (albeit very close) perfect room is an explosion of glamour, colour, cocktails and sixties’ style – a perfect accompaniment to the mid-century styling of our gorgeous gin trolley. Think Mad Men, James Bond, Aston Martin and, of course, gin. Congratulations to Jenny at Seasons in Colour for her bold use of colour, choice of complementary pieces, and her skill in combining so many iconic images into one stunning design.
Juliette commented, “I think Jenny has put in a tremendous amount of effort and has done well combining the style of our gin trolley with the ideas of Mad Men, Bond and 1960s style. She seems to have captured the entire atmosphere, and has also picked out some of our finest, mid-century pieces to create a complete concept. Well done.”
Thanks to all our runners up. It was a very close result and we loved the individual qualities and characteristics of all the rooms. Jenny will now spend time with our design team to create a 3D render of her perfect room, which we will feature on the website later in the year.
