The property, situated within the Prince of Wales Drive development, has been transformed from an empty shell into a warm, contemporary second home that perfectly balances modern luxury with comfort and functionality.
The Client’s Vision
Our client, a UK native living abroad, envisioned their Battersea apartment as a luxury London pad that would serve as both a second home and a space for hosting family and friends during visits to London. The brief called for a modern, light, and airy aesthetic, with an emphasis on creating a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. From the outset, exceptional quality, fine finishes, and meticulous attention to detail were paramount.
Design Highlights
In keeping with our client’s desire for quiet luxury, we designed a space that seamlessly blends a luxurious finish with practicality. Some of the key design elements include:
- Bespoke LED Patagonia Stone Feature Wall: One of the standout features of the apartment is the stunning backlit Patagonia stone wall that flows effortlessly from the living area into the dining room, creating a breathtaking focal point. The feature comes into being during the evening as mood lighting.
- Bespoke Furniture: The project also included custom-designed furniture throughout. From a corner sofa, with a sofa bed and a built-in Calacatta marble side table, a handcrafted media unit that cleverly integrates with a contemporary desk, providing a chic, functional workspace, to a bespoke bed with an extra wide headboard and so much more.
- High-End Materials and Finishes: Throughout the apartment, the use of luxurious materials like marble, polished metals, and soft-touch fabrics helped create a space that feels both high-end and inviting.
Award-Winning Project
This high-end apartment, located on the 17th floor with expansive views over Battersea, includes a master bedroom, guest bedroom, living space, kitchen, dining area, balcony and a beautiful winter garden. Through careful space planning and the use of bespoke pieces, we were able to transform this new build into a stylish yet serene retreat that perfectly reflects our client’s vision of modern quiet luxury.

Bringing the Vision to Life: Concepts, Space Planning, and Bespoke Design
At the heart of this award-winning project was a carefully planned layout, tailored to create a seamless flow throughout. The chosen layout—Option B—was a space-saving and efficient design that incorporated key elements such as a round coffee table for better flow in the living area, a console table perfectly placed in the hallway, and a tall backlit LED mirror to maximise brightness and space. The spatial planning allowed us to optimise the apartment’s layout while maintaining an effortless flow throughout.
3D Visuals: Bringing Concepts to Life
Once the layout was finalised, we moved into the visualisation stage, creating 3D renderings. These allowed the client to truly see their vision come to life. These detailed visuals provided a clear representation of the proposed designs, allowing for any adjustments to be made with ease. Our client was able to view the spaces in their entirety, ensuring that the overall aesthetic matched their vision before moving into the next phase.
Proposed Luxury Furniture
In collaboration with the client, we proposed a selection of luxury furniture and finishes that balanced style with comfort. These initial mock-ups included a blend of bespoke and high-end pieces, such as a sleek, modern dining set, elegant lounge chairs, and soft furnishings that added warmth to the light, airy interiors. The mock-ups offered a realistic preview of how the furniture would complement the bespoke design features.

To win a UK Property Award is a world-renowned mark of excellence. One of the key highlights of this project, and a contributing factor in the awards, was the incorporation of many bespoke furniture pieces. These custom designs perfectly met the client’s functional needs while creating striking focal points within the apartment. These included:
Bespoke Corner Sofa with Pull Out Bed Calacatta Marble Side Table:
A multifunctional marvel that was created to meet the requirement for a piece that blends luxury and practicality, serving as both a stylish seating area and an extra sleeping space.
Master and Guest Beds:
Bespoke beds tailored to the client’s taste, such as the extra wide headboard for the master.
Custom Desk and Media Unit:
This handcrafted piece created a functional workspace, designed to seamlessly integrate with the contemporary living space. Combining a designer media unit and a contemporary desk.
Bedroom Side Tables, Chest of Draws, Mirror and Lamps:
Designed with the same attention to detail, these pieces complemented the overall bedroom aesthetic, with custom elements to bring everything together.
Patagonia Stone Backlit Wall:
The showpiece of the apartment is this stunning feature wall. It transitions seamlessly between the living and dining areas, creating a breathtaking visual impact.
Each of these bespoke elements not only elevated the apartment’s aesthetic but also reflected the client’s personality and specific requirements, making the design truly one-of-a-kind.
By combining expert space planning, detailed 3D visuals, and exceptional bespoke craftsmanship, we were able to transform this contemporary new development in London from an empty shell into a luxurious sanctuary that exudes understated elegance and an inviting warm homely feel.
