Are we allowed to start getting excited yet? We love Christmas here at Juliettes (well, most of us do – and bah, humbug to the others) and the Christmas dining table is where so many memories are made. Food shared with family and friends around the table is always special, so we’re here to give you some fabulous Christmas dining style inspiration. It might seem a little bit early but before you know it, the festive season will be in full swing, everyone will be partying and Christmas Eve will be upon us. And it’s too late then to start thinking about how you’re going to style your Christmas dining room.
Christmas Dining Expert Inspiration
We have got together with some of our favourite interiors bloggers and asked them to share some of their Christmas dining ideas with us. So, whether you are looking for all out glamour, a cool minimalist Christmas or anything in between, you’ll find heaps of inspiration – and a lot of gold. Make sure you click through to each of the fabulous designs to get the full story. So, go and grab a coffee, make yourself comfortable and start planning your gorgeous Christmas dining room.
Jen has taken soft pink and gold as her inspiration and has centred her design around a stunning white marble dining table. Alongside a beautiful, mid-century-style cocktail cabinet and glamorous gold drinks trolley, she has styled her dining room with luscious accents of pink and gold. Tableware, crackers, cutlery and foliage, everything is exquisite and ready for a grown-up, luxurious family Christmas.
Maxine has chosen as her centrepiece one of the most glamorous dining tables you are likely to find. Don’t you just love the stunning gloss lacquer inlaid with luxurious gold leaf? With the matching gold chairs, her guests surely can’t fail to be impressed. Styled with beautiful gold lighting, mirrors, candles and luxury cushions, her Christmas dining room also includes a lovely leather cocktail cabinet, adding subtle texture to all that gloss and glam. With her finishing touches of gold-dipped tableware, cutlery, bowls of baubles and festive fairy lights, Maxine certainly isn’t holding back this Christmas.
Gold is definitely a recurring theme – and why not? If you’re looking for something that says festive and glamour, you can’t go wrong with gold. Bianca combines her golds with rich, dark woods to create a wonderfully warm, welcoming feel to her Christmas dining room design. Starting with this inviting oval, walnut dining table and soft nubuck leather dining chairs, she brings in layer upon layer of gold with beautiful statement lighting and mirrors. Even her oak-veneered sideboard includes subtle accents of brushed gold. Imagine lingering over a long, lazy Christmas lunch. We’re just waiting for our invitation.
Someone else who has fallen in love with the sleek, icy beauty of our gorgeous, circular, white marble dining table. It is certainly a favourite with Juliettes customers. Olivia, however, has upped the glamour with fabulous wall lights, abstract art, exquisite accessories and a glorious gold drinks trolley (well, it is Christmas, after all). Her pièce de resistance, in our opinion, is the wonderfully flamboyant gold palm tree floor lamp. It just goes to show, your Christmas décor doesn’t have to be traditional. So, why not embrace your fun side this year? Who needs an ordinary Christmas tree?
Holly has gone for pure, unashamed opulence with black, gold and plenty of Art Deco glamour to welcome guests from around the world this Christmas. Centred around a beautiful black zebra marble dining table, her Christmas dining design goes on to include sleek, metallic dining chairs, an exquisite cabinet (for all the champagne and cocktails), and another appearance of that spectacular gold palm tree floor lamp. The black and gold theme continues with gorgeous cutlery, baubles and tableware with the added warmth of candles and a splash of traditional ivy. Holly Wood has certainly embraced her inner starlet.
Warm, cosy and right on trend. Elisabetta has gone all out with earthy, toasty tones, chocolatey browns and rich russets. Her Christmas dining room is inspired by a deliciously dark, walnut veneer oval table with soft, sculpted velvet chairs and gorgeous accents of brushed gold and plenty of twinkling fairy lights, candles and festive stars. Lighting is glamorous yet subtle, with a stunning contemporary chandelier and burnished brass table lamps. Tableware and decorations are classic and simple with traditional touches of fir and pine cones. This is a Christmas dining room to snuggle into and hibernate – at least until New Year.
The starting point for Becky’s Luxury Christmas Dining Room is a beautiful, raw-edged oak dining table, giving a wonderfully simple, Nordic feel. The rest of her room is elegant and pared back but ultimately luxurious. Magnificent silver candle holders, a sleek platinum vase and glorious Swarovski crystal lighting are softened with fresh, understated flowers and a fabulous, unexpected splash of Christmassy cranberries. And a rather handsome gent under the tree!
Juliettes Interiors – A Classic White Christmas
On one of the shortest and darkest days of the year, we’ve decided to flood our Christmas dining room with the warmth of soft, flickering light and the glamour of glass, crystal and flawless gloss finishes. Our centrepiece oval glass dining table will reflect all those lovely little fairy lights from The White Company. We’ve gone for the warmth of a 24 carat gold plated base but, if your festive theme is frosty, the table is also available with a high gloss stainless steel base and a whole host of tabletop alternatives. The spectacular, high gloss curved sideboard will also bounce light back from a spectacular crystal chandelier, gorgeous Swarovski crystal table lamps and a set of our most popular statuesque candle holders. Shown here in hammered nickel, these are also available in a glamorous gold finish.
With the addition of a hoop and star (available separately), we could turn our candlesticks into a stunning, minimalist Christmas tree but instead, our chosen tree is frosty and white, festooned with hundreds of warm white lights and simple gold-infused glass baubles and finials, all from Balsam Hill. Foliage has to be fabulous so, rather than have it on the table and have to peer round it to see our guests, our magnificent arrangement will take pride of place on the sideboard, with a giant mirror behind, giving us twice the impact. Now, we don’t know about you but we’re very busy people here at Juliettes so we’re opting for a lazy, luxury Christmas. To make the most of every minute with family and friends, we will be ordering the entire Christmas feast from Fortnum and Mason (well, we can dream). And after all that fantastic festive food, we can think of nothing better than snuggling up with a faux fur throw and and a few after dinner drinks. See you in 2020.
