When people hear “designed using AI” in interior design, they often imagine bold, futuristic shapes or avant-garde furniture pieces that push creative limits. And while AI can certainly unlock visionary furniture concepts, it’s just as powerful when used to realise refined, bespoke ideas, helping clients achieve the exact piece they’ve been searching for, even when it doesn’t exist yet.
That was precisely the case in a recent collaboration between one of our trade partners, a seasoned and excellent interior designer and their client. Both are based in the US. Having looked extensively, she was completely out of options to fulfil her client’s needs. So, our trade partner reached out to us to help them bring their vision to life.
The client’s brief was to find a small bedside table. The space was extremely tight. We recognised that with such a small width to work with, any bedside table would be unstable. We, therefore, advised considering a wall-fixed bedside for stability, and such a design also offered less clutter, keeping the floor free in such a tight space.
AI-Designed Furniture Doesn’t Mean Outlandish
Using AI as an inspiration tool, our design team generated a few AI concepts. We showed the designer many inspirational images in her chosen style from which she quickly identified the ideal product. While the design wasn’t radical or experimental, it was unique to them. Something they had been searching for but couldn’t find, so we know it doesn’t exist already.

From Vision to Visualisation
The AI concept shown above became a powerful starting point. However, with space at a real premium, our design experts needed to refine the AI design to meet the spatial requirements. Adapting the concept, we created a scaled drawing to the customer’s exact dimensions. A new visual was produced at this stage, as changing the dimensions impacts the overall design aesthetic. The images reflected the client’s vision, pared-back, elegant, and perfectly aligned with the feel they wanted for their space.

We then produced technical 2D CAD drawings and detailed elevations. Ensuring the piece would function perfectly and integrate seamlessly into the room.
Next came a 360° 3D model, allowing both client and manufacturer to examine the piece from every angle. This is an essential step in confirming proportions, depth, and balance, and catching any potential issues before production begins.
Our trade partner, the interior designer, was able to approve the product from the 3D visual with her client. And just like that, it appeared with a very happy end client and designer.
The Final Steps: Materials, Finishes, Perfection
With the design finalised, we worked closely with our trade partner to select finishes and materials that would deliver both the desired aesthetic and practical longevity. Sample boards were created to ensure the colours, finish, touch, and texture were all 100%. Once approved, the project moved smoothly into manufacturing. Where expert craftsmanship and a solid quality control process brought the AI concept to life. not as an abstract idea, but as a beautifully simple, flawlessly executed piece of bespoke furniture.

Here’s The Final Result: Their Bespoke Vision, Beautifully Realised
The finished floating drawers are a perfect reflection of the client’s original vision — refined, functional, and flawlessly executed. From a simple idea that couldn’t be sourced anywhere, to matching bespoke pieces designed using AI. Brought to life through expertise in designing and manufacturing furniture. This project proves that true luxury is getting every detail exactly right. Subtle. Seamless. And entirely one-of-a-kind.
