Interior Design Project Before & After

Isn’t this everyone’s favourite bit? The big reveal. Seeing what a talented interior designer can create out of something that looked so unpromising. Our latest in a series of stunning interior design projects was a one bedroom rental property in Onslow Gardens, Knightsbridge. Despite being in a very sought-after area, the tired, uninspiring apartment was proving difficult to rent. And that’s where we came in. First of all, let us show you what it was like before its fresh, new look.

The Interior Design Project Brief

There is no shortage of luxury rental property in Knightsbridge. Rents are high and the clientèle is discerning. In order to arouse interest, a rental property must exude luxury. It must look like a high end home. The style needs to be enticing, welcoming, and it has to look the part. This is Knightsbridge after all. The client brief for this interior design project was to update, freshen and “get the look” but without the ultra high end designer price tag. The aim, of course, was to ensure the property could be rented as soon as possible.

After : a Successful Rental Property

From tired and unattractive to fresh and desirable. Time was of the essence on this interior design project as the client needed the property back on the rental market as quickly as possible. So, as well as the interior design, Juliettes Interiors undertook full project management, giving a seamless service from initial design through to completion. The full project included internal and external renovations, decoration and flooring, plus refurbishment of the bathroom and balcony.

The interior design team chose a soft, muted palette to create warmth and to appeal to the widest range of tenants. Splashes of colour, pattern and personality were added in the form of soft furnishings and accessories, which are easily swapped around to add interest or change the look entirely. Each item of luxury furniture is exquisite and finished to a world class standard. Perfect for the high end rental market and sourced specifically for this property. Remember, as well as our ultra high end luxury furniture, we also have our Showroom Collection, offering exceptional quality and a high end look without the designer price tag. And, when it comes to interior design projects such as this, we are also experts at sourcing just the right pieces to give you the quality and look you want at the right price point.

Interior Design Makes All The Difference

Budget was always a consideration in this property. So, the interior design project was carefully planned to make the most of existing features. The bathroom appeared dated but a quick facelift gave it a sleek, contemporary look. The bedroom was dull and uninteresting but a few carefully-chosen pieces of luxury furniture, some fabulous lighting, tantalising textiles, and – quite simply – a feature bed, made all the difference. But the pièce de résistance has to be the living area. It is amazing what a talented interior designer can do, taking it from neglected bachelor pad style to a stunning, airy, inviting space. It now works beautifully as a relaxing living room, dining area and home office. This luxury apartment is now modern, eye-catching and ready to rent.
