Small Desks for Versatility
We are increasingly being asked about versatile and small desks. People are looking for small, compact desks to create a working zone within another space, something for a small home office or maybe an extra desk to accommodate more than one home worker. Children may still need to work from home in the coming months – and having their own small desk is an essential for homework anyway. Customers want an item of luxury furniture that will double up as a small desk. It has to be something that looks striking and eye-catching, not functional and not something too bulky that will take over a room. So, we have looked not only at small desks but also console tables, which tend to be less deep than a normal desk. One thing to look out for if choosing a console table to use as a small desk is the height. A desk is usually around 75 – 80 cm high. Any higher and you risk working with hunched up shoulders, causing neck and back pain. This is why kitchen tables or counters are so often unsuitable.
